A long time ago a king lived in
his old castle. It was a nice king. He had a servant.
The servant was the best friend of the king, but
only because of the money of the king. One day the
king went out. The servant wanted the king's money
so much that he wanted to kill him. Then the king
came home. "Tap, tap, tap," his shoes made.
Suddenly the servant stood before him. "Sorry,
my King, but I must do it!" he said. He pulled
out a kitchen knife and killed him. It was a dark
and rainy night when the King died. Today a ghost
lives in the old castle. The ghost of the dead king.
Today all people in the old castle think about the
dead king when it's a dark and rainy night.

It was a dark, rainy night at an
old castle. A group of tourists came into the park
where the castle stood. "It's too scary for
me, please turn around and leave this place!" said
a little boy. "No, we want to have a look at
the castle this night!" said his father. So
they went on. At the castle they walked along the
castle walls and went up the stairs. The little boy
whispered all the time "Let's leave, let's leave!" but
he had no chance.
Then suddenly the boy heard a strange
noise. A door creaked. "Did you hear that?" he
asked with a voice of fear. "What?" another
man asked. The door in front of them creaked again. "That," the
boy whispered. Now everyone heard it. "It's
just the wind," the father said. But before
he understood what happened to him, two claws grabbed
him and pulled him the room. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" it
came out of the room. "Oh, no," the boy
shouted, "my father!" He took a torch,
opened the door and screamed. His father lay on the
floor - without a head. He looked around but there
was nothing. "Come out, come out!" someone
shouted. The boy did what the person said. On the
stairs there stood a black monster.
Suddenly it jumped away. "Why did it jump away?" an
other tourist asked. "I know, the monster is scared
of the light," the boy said. "Let's leave this
place!" he said. Everyone screamed except the boy. The
monster stood behind him. One grip and it had the boy. "Here,
catch," said the boy and threw the torch to a man. "Direct
the light at it," he said.
The monster disappeared and the boy fell down. "Let's
leave this place before anything else happens!" the
boy said. He cried all day. They never came back again.

A long time ago there was a princess.
She was fifteen years old, when she told her father: "Tomorrow
I'm dead! Please put down my coffin in front of the
altar and let a watchman watch over me in front of
the coffin every night."
The next day the princess said goodbye to her parents, lay
down and died. The father did what his daughter said to him
and put a watchman next to her coffin.
At 12 o'clock midnight she woke up, killed the watchman and
threw him in the cellar of the church. At 1 o'clock am she
went back to her coffin.
This happened the next times and
the king had problems because nobody would watch
the princess. Then a shepherd came. He would watch
the princess. His name was Jakob. In the first night
he got afraid and wanted to go away, but a voice
said "Jakob, don't go away! You can redeem me
if you watch over me three nights."
Jakob hid himself and the clock did: dong, dong, dong ...
12 times. The princess woke up and searched Jakob, but she
didn't find him to kill him. The clock did: dong. She went
back and slept again.
Jakob lived two further nights with
the same doing like the first night. After three
nights the princess wasn't dead any more! She was
alive and when her father saw it he married Jakob
to his daughter.
And they all were happy a long, long time.

At a dark, rainy night my friends
Fred and George slept at my place. We were alone
at home. At midnight there was a noise - tap, tap,
tap. Fred and I wanted to have a look at the source
of the noise in an old chest. Fred went to the toilet.
Suddenly we heard him screaming. We ran to the toilet.
Fred wasn't there. We searched him everywhere in
the house. He had disappeared. George and I went
to the chest again. Then we opened it and saw an
old piece of paper. I read the paper. "The evil
Sir Goro was hanged. Yesterday I saw his ghost," I
read. I thought: "Maybe the ghost has got Fred." Suddenly
there was a grey figure. Fred woke me up. I noticed
that it was only a bad dream.

Next to a church in England,
a boy did his work. He worked at a churchyard.
One day he found a tooth next to a bench. But he didn't put
it in a hole. He picked up in the tooth, because he wanted
to cut it. Later in the evening he was alone. He wanted to
carve the tooth. Suddenly someone knocked at the window.
The boy looked up and saw a man at the window. The man's
face was very white, and his eyes starred at the boy. The
man began to laugh. The boy saw that a tooth was missing.
Maybe it was the tooth which he held in his hands. When the
man disappeared, the boy was very frightened, but then he
slept till the next morning. On the next day he dug a hole
where he had found the tooth and put it into the earth. He
never saw the ghost again.

Two boys, Tom and Jerry, heard
a story about a scary house. On the way to the scary
house Tom heard a voice: "Come to me! I'm going
to eat you." Jerry didn't hear the voice. But
he went straight on. At the scary house Tom asked: "Must
we go in?"
"Yes," answered Jerry. They went into the house. The door closed. They
saw a ghost with a big mouth. 10 seconds later the ghost ate Tom and Jerry.
After that nobody went to the scary house.

Two ghosts lived in the supermarket.
It was a crazy supermarket. A long time ago the ghosts
were bored, because they couldn't play with things
in the supermarket. Then one of the ghosts, Joy,
had an idea: They could do crazy things in the supermarket.
They played tricks with all the people. The ghosts laughed.
Then a man came into the supermarket.
The ghosts sprayed the man with ketchup. Then they threw
milkbags on the head of the man. They picked up peaches and
threw them at an old woman's bag.
The people couldn't see the ghosts because they were transparent.
The old woman ran out. Then the assistant phoned the police.
They came at once.
The ghosts threw at the police with bananas. They got very
frightened and left.
Then people weren't shopping in this shop anymore. Today
the supermarket is a playground for ghosts.

On this evening I was alone at
home. My parents were still at work and my brother
was outside with his friends. It was 8 o'clock. I
ate dinner and watched TV. Oh, I still had to do
my homework. So I went upstairs. I stopped. "Who
is there?" I asked frightened. "Go down!" howled
the noise. "Don't come near!" howled the
noise again.
I took a heart and went further. I went in my room and saw
two arms there. They held something together. A head, I saw. "Sorry,
I stumbled and fell to pieces. I didn't want that you saw
me so, but now you saw me," it said.
" Who are you?" I asked. "I'm the Queen of Germany," he answered. "But
Germany didn't have a Queen!" I said. "No? Oh, then I'm the Queen of
England!" he said.
" First you are a man and second, I think you don't know who you are!"
" Yes, I don't know who I am. With the years I forgot it!" sobbed he.
He was very sad.
" Jasmin, I'm there!" Oh no, my Mum. "Please, don't sob, my Mum
is here. You must go now!"
" OK, ciao," sobbed he still, but then he disappeared. My Mum came
upstairs. I fetched my homework and did them. The ghost came often to me and
together we mysteried over
his name.

Jim and Phillip were in an old
empty villa one Saturday midnight. 'Phillip! Look
here,' Jim said. 'Here is a secret room.' Jim touched
a book in a book-shelf and the wall opened with a
'KRRRRRACK'. 'WOW! What's in it?' Phillip asked.
'A ... a ... a ghost!' Jim called. 'A what, Jim?
Jim where are you? JIM!' Phillip called. 'Run away!'
a terrible voice said. Phillip ran away and nobody
saw Jim again.

One evening Charlie Johnessen
went to a pub.
There was a remote controlled hand in a jar of glass.
Fred the owner of the hand was pleased about pointing with
a finger of the hand at any person. But most of the time
to Charlie.
He was very afraid about this because he had once minced
the hand of a man.
Charlie said to the Barkeeper, “Stop the hand!”
Fred stopped the hand, but it moved on. The hand pointed
at Charlie again and again. Charlie screamed out loud, “Stop
this damned hand!!!” The Barkeeper said to Fred, “Stop
this hand now!”
Fred came to the Barkeeper and said, “I stopped the
hand for a long time.”
The barkeeper, Charlie and Fred looked at the hand. It didn’t
stop to point at Charlie. The men got very scared.
Charlie saw on the jar of glass a little sign, “This
hand belonged Bill Snow.” This was the man, whose hand
Charlie minced.
Charlie died this evening of a cardiac infarction.

At Friday afternoon Caroline went
to Anja’s house to sleep there. At 8.00 o’clock
they watched TV. After two hours they went to bed.
Suddenly Anja heard a noise. Klack, klack, klack. “Caroline
did you do that noise?” Anja asked. “No,
I didn’t do it!” Caroline said. “But
who did this noise?” the girls asked. “I
don’t know,” Anja whispered. “Come
here, please, Caroline.” The girls were frightened.
Suddenly the door opened and a ghost without a body
came in. “Excuse me,” he said. The girls
screamed. Then the ghost said again: “Excuse
me.” Anja was courageous and asked: “Who
are you? And where’s your body?” “I’m
Sir Quack. I don’t know where my body is. I
am searching for it. But I can’t find it,” the
ghost moaned. “We can help you!” Caroline
said.
The girls went with Sir Quack downstairs and upstairs, but
they couldn’t find his body. After thirty minutes Anja’s
mother came and asked her: “What are you doing?” “We
are looking for Sir Quack’s body, but we can’t
find it,” Caroline said. “What, you look for
a body of a person?” Anja’s mum asked. “No,
not of a person, of a ghost,” answered Caroline. “That’s
a funny joke,” Anja’s mum said. “Now you
must go to bed it’s 1.00 o’clock in the morning.” The
girls’ went to bed and said: “Bye, Sir Quack.” “Oh,
stop! I think I have your body,” Caroline shouted. “No,
that’s only a pullover,” Anja said. And Sir Quack
said: “Oh, thank you for your help girls, and good
night.” The next morning the girls told the story to
Anja’s sister Hannah. But she didn’t believe
the story.

Yesterday night I was
alone at home.
I tried to sleep but I couldn’t because I heard a noise
from the kitchen. I went to the kitchen. Suddenly I saw two
ghosts without heads.
I screamed. “Please don’t scream and don’t
be frightened of us. We’re only looking for our heads.
You see, we played outside with our heads and then we threw
them unintentionally in your kitchen. Please help us to look
for them,” said one ghost.
So I helped them. After an hour I found the first head in
the refrigerator and the second head in a big vase.
“Thank you! We’re going now,” the ghosts said.
They flew home and I went to bed.

One night the twins Joey and Mark
were alone at home because their parents went to
the cinema.
It was 22.30. Suddenly they heard a scary noise which came
from the garden. Because of that noise the twins were frightened.
Suddenly the doorbell began to ring.
Mark said: “I’m afraid.” Joey ran into
the kitchen and looked for a pan. This time somebody knocked
on the door.
Joey found a pan and shouted to Mark: “When you open
the door I will hit him with the pan.” “All right,” said
Mark and opened the door.
Joey hit the man. The man shouted “OUCH!” Joey
saw that the man was a Mummy. It said: “Why have you
done this to me? I just wanted to ask you for some toilet
paper. I need some for my arm.” “Oh, excuse me
please, we were afraid of you,” said Joey. The Mummy
asked them not to tell anybody about that night.
They decided to keep it as their secret.

Last week I slept at my friend's.
We watched TV. At 12 o'clock we went to bed. Suddenly
I heard a noise. "Janina, did you do that?" I
asked. No answer. I went into the kitchen. There
was a ghost ... and Janina. I screamed. "Janina,
what are you doing there?" I asked. "That's
a ghost!"
"Oh, that's Sir Henry," she said, "He forgot where his notice
board is."
"She's crazy," I thought. "Can you help us?" the ghost whispered. "No,
sorry, I must go to bed!" I answered. Suddenly I saw the notice board on
the floor. "I have it," I shouted.
"Patricia, wake up," Janina's mother said. I saw Janina in her bed
... And the notice board on the floor. I showed it to Janina. "That's Sir
Henry's," she said.
That was crazy. "Could we have had the same dream?" I
wondered.
Today I sleep at my friend's again because we want to show
the notice board to Sir Henry ...

to the tree was a woman - dead, too. It was the witch.
But why is the witch dead?

On Sunday was a scary night. I was
alone at home, my parents went to a party. One hour
I watched TV and then I went to bed.
I couldn't sleep, because I heard a noise from the kitchen.
I thought 'What is it?'
I stood up and went to the kitchen. The door of fridge was
open. Then I heard a noise from the living-room.
I thought ‘ What is it?’
I went into the living-room. I saw a ghost sitting on the
sofa. On the table was a drink and next to this were two
knifes. I ran to my room, closed the door and I hid under
my blanket. Some time later I went into the living-room again
and I saw nothing.
I asked ’What was it?
Was it a dream?’
